Why can't i just skip high school

You can but the unemployment rates for people without at least a high school diploma is like 8 percent, and you get a quarter as much money on average at jobs with a high school diploma. It is overall better to at least get a diploma, but I would recommend college.
If you like blue collar work then this may not apply as much.
