The correct answer to this open question is the following.
Here we are talking about the Treaty of Paris that was signed to officially end World War I.
Some historians and scholars have criticized the terms of the Treaty of Paris and called it unfair or excessive.
But these critics only show a lack of understanding of the problems facing the peacemakers in 1919-20. And the problems were considerable.
Diplomats and politicians who attended the peace agreement had to evaluate many circumstances when working out the details of the treaty. It was not an easy task for them.
US President Wilson had already presented its famous "14 Points Plan" but was rejected by the European allies. The reason was simple. European allies such as France and England did not really want a peace plan that benefited all. No. They wanted retribution. And for these countries, there was only one nation to blame. And they wanted revenge and severe punishment for the pain and destruction caused by Germans during the war. That is how Germany had to pay for war reparations.
However, everybody knows what happened next.
After the failure of teh Weimar Republic, the advent of Adolph Hitler and another generation of belic Germans got to power and they indeed wanted revenge. And the world started to fear the worst...WOrld War II was about to begin.

Explanation:
The United States should absolutely join sign the Treaty of Versailles and join the League of Nations. The United States fought in World War 1 and many Americans lost their lives defeating the Germans and their allies. World War 1 had a terrible impact not only on Europeans, but also Americans. It is only right that America should do everything it can to help prevent another major war.
Europeans have been fighting among themselves for hundreds of years and it’s time for that fighting to end. With the League of Nations, Woodrow Wilson will help ensure that the world will live in peace. If all the nations of the world work together, then they will have no reason to fight again.
The League of Nations and the Treaty of Versailles will put an end to this ugly and terrible war. We will finally put an end to the empires that have controlled the people of Europe and let all of the individual European people build their own future, instead of having people build it for them. The Polish, the Slovaks, the Czechs, the Austrians, the Hungarians, the Slovenians, and many other nationalities deserve to be able to determine their own future. Currently, they are all being controlled by the Austro-Hungarian empire. The Treaty of Versailles will break up that empire and give those people a proper place in the world.
The United States must sign the Treaty of Versailles. Part of the Treaty of Versailles requires that all countries that sign it MUST join the League of Nations. It is important that we sign the treaty and join the League and not separate the two. If we separate the treaty from the League of Nations, then there is no way that we can promise peace in the future, and that is the most important thing to do
