The Stronghold Society has a mission to inspire Lakota youth. They did that by providing them the opportunities within arts and sports. This was to enable them to express themselves creatively and skateboarding is one of the ways they utilized to achieve the goal.

It was also to provide the kids a reservation area for funfair and creative activities. Skateboarding, arts, music, photography and sports were some activities that were brought up to inspire youths.
