Explain how rewards/penalties help people make decisions
olganol [36]
Okay so rewards and penalties make people make better decisions. So like if I don't get questions wrong on a test I receive $5 from my parents, but if I fail a test I'm grounded for a week. So I study more to get money. (this is not actually me just making an example). Rewards make people want to do better, and so do penalties. I don't want to do bad and get punished for it.

What makes the demand for u. s. dollars change? in world demand for u. s. exports ______ the demand for u. s. dollars. a in the
stich3 [128]

Increasing world demand for U.S. exports increases the demand for U.S. dollars. A rise in the U.S. interest rate differential increases the demand for U.S. dollars.

The official money of the United States of America is the USD (United States dollar). One hundred cents make up one dollar, often known as the U.S. dollar. It is distinguished from other currencies based on the dollar by the symbol $ or US$.

A country's currency will be in great demand if its exports exceed its imports since more people will want to buy its products. According to supply and demand economics, prices increase and the value of the currency increases when demand is high. Generally speaking, a country's currency will appreciate at higher interest rates. Higher interest rates frequently draw foreign investment, which raises both demand for and the value of the currency of the host nation.

The owner of a bicycle repair shop forecasts revenues of $160,000 a year. Variable costs will be $50,000, and rental costs for t
elena55 [62]

Answer and Explanation:

Revenue                              $160,000

Rental Costs                      $30,000

Variable Costs                      $50,000

Depreciation                      $10,000

Profit before tax              $70,000

Tax(35%)                              $24,500

Net Income                      $45,500

Operating cash flow

a) Dollars in minus dollars out

Revenue ? rental costs ? variable costs ? taxes = $160000 -$30000-$50000-$24,500 = $55,500

b) Adjusted accounting profits

Operating cash flow = Net income + depreciation = $45,500 + $10,000 = $55,500

c) Add back depreciation tax shield

Operating cash flow = [(Revenue ? rental costs ? variable costs) × (1 ? 0.35)] + (depreciation × 0.35)]

= ($160,000-$30000-$50,000)*0.65 + $10,000*0.35 = $55,500

Yes, the above approaches result in the same value for cash flow
