The correct answer to this open question is the following.

During the Ottoman Empire, Cairo and Baghdad likely grow into large cities because both represented major and important places of trade and social interaction in those years. Baghdad, the capital city of Iraq, since 762 CE, became the place were scientists, scholars, historians, and philosophers lived in a great time of advances and the spread of Islam. Historians call this time as the Golden Years of Islam. In the case of Cairo, Egypt, since the Byzantine times, Egypt had been dominated by Arabs who spread the teachings of Islam. By the tie of the Ottoman Empire, Cairo, Egypt, was also a cosmopolite city, full of people and trade activities where people could find jobs, commercial activities, and cultural exchange.

Explain any 3 factors faced by sugar industry in India
Umnica [9.8K]

Answer:

1. Small and uneconomic size of mills

2. High cost of Production

3. Government policy

Explanation:

1. Small and uneconomic size of mills:

Most of the sugar mills in India are of small size with a capacity of 1,000 to 1,500 tonnes per day. This makes large scale production uneconomic. Many of the mills are economically not viable.

2. High cost of Production:

High cost of sugarcane, inefficient technology, uneconomic process of production and heavy excise duty result in high cost of manufacturing. The production cost of sugar in India is one of the highest in the world. Intense research is required to increase the sugarcane production in the agricultural field and to introduce new technology of production efficiency in the sugar mills.

3. Government policy

The Sugarcane sector and Sugar Industry as a whole is heavily controlled by the government. While it is obligatory for sugar mills to purchase all sugarcane cultivated by farmers, the government has no plans in place to restrict production as per demand and requirement.

What can you do to preserve Gods creation?
zepelin [54]

Explanation:

Conserve water. In many places, water is abundant. In other places…not so much. Water is necessary for sustaining life. If you’re lucky enough to have a constant supply of water, appreciate that, but also conserve it. There are so many ways that we waste water on a regular basis, such as leaving the faucet running while we brush our teeth, using sprinklers excessively, washing clothes unnecessarily and so on. In addition to conserving water, consider recycling it also!

Recycle. I know, I know, everyone recycles these days. Actually, they don’t. Many towns mandate recycling, but that still doesn’t mean people will follow the rule. If your town doesn’t recycle, find out how YOU can, and where you can deposit your recycled items. But it’s not just paper, plastic and glass that can be recycled. You can recycle clothes, shoes and even cell phones. Recycling also means reusing the things you have. For example, you can turn old, worn out t-shirts into dusters or cloths, or reuse shoe boxes for storage.

Walk or ride your bike whenever possible. Save on gas and reduce air pollution, and at the same time, get a good workout and enjoy the outdoors! God’s earth is a beautiful place to enjoy.

Conserve energy. This isn’t difficult to do. In fact, if you’re consistent, you can make it a habit. So turn off your lights, unplug appliances that you’re not using, and if at all possible, line dry clothes…oooh they smell so good!

Make your own cleaning products. With just a few natural products like vinegar, olive oil, lemon juice and baking soda, you can make your own cleaning products. This also saves money, so there’s an extra benefit!
