1/4 and 1/5 should be the same. So 1/4 = 5/20 and 1/5 = 4/20. Make them into percentages, 5/20 x 5 = 25/100 = 25% and 4/20 x 5 = 20/100 =  20%. Then add them 25%+20% = 45%. Then do 40 x .45 = 18$. Jamal would have 18$.

Jamal has 22 dollars left.
1/5 of 40 is 8
1/4 of 40 is 10

8+10=18

40-18=22

Answer:

  50

Step-by-step explanation:

(3+\sqrt{-16})(6-\sqrt{-64})=(3+4\sqrt{-1})(6-8\sqrt{-1})=2(3+4\sqrt{-1})(3-4\sqrt{-1})\\\\=2(3^2-(4\sqrt{-1})^2)=2(9-(-16))\\\\=2(25)=50

HELP ASAP PLEASE!!!
grigory [225]

The quadratic fomula:

ax^2+bx+c=0\\\\\Delta=b^2-4ac\\\\If\ \Delta0,\ then\ \boxed{TWO\ SOLUTIONS:\ x_1=\dfrac{-b-\sqrt\Delta}{2a}\ and\ x_2=\dfrac{-b+\sqrt\Delta}{2a}}-----------------------------------------------

We have the equation:

2x^2-7x-21=0\\\\a=2,\ b=-7,\ c=-21\\\\\Delta=(-7)^2-4(2)(-21)=49+168=217 > 0\\\\x_1=\dfrac{-(-7)-\sqrt{217}}{2(2)}=\dfrac{7-\sqrt{217}}{4}\approx-1.93\\\\x_2=\dfrac{-(-7)+\sqrt{217}}{(2)(2)}=\dfrac{7+\sqrt{217}}{4}\approx5.43\\\\Answer:\ \boxed{\boxed{2.\ -1.93\ and\ 5.43}}
