What arguments can you make against nativism and anti-immigrant feelings?

1) All non-native Americans are or once were immigrants! The nation thrived on immigration and there is not good reason to stop now

2) Give example of well-integrated hard working immigrants

3) point to the fact that even the poor immigrants are not a threat: most of the immigrants in the colonies were poor too!

4) immigrants are often very active, opening many companies - this is good for business!
