In the letter, Micaela expresses nothing but her joy, and satisfaction with her vacations in Mexico: She is pleased with all the places she has visited, the food she has tasted, and the culture in general. Nowhere in the text does she mention that fish are ugly, quite the contrary, when she talks about the beaches, she says that they have fish of all colors: “Muchas de las playas tienen agua muy clara con un montón de peces de todos colores,” which means that she finds them attractive.
