You can reduce a fraction by finding a common multiple. 6 and 12 are both divisible by 2 because they are both even numbers. You can start there. Always remember, anything you do to the top (numerator) you must do to the bottom (denominator). The rules are different for adding and subtracting, so don't worry about that. Divide the 6 by 2 to get 6/2=3 and divide 12 by 2 to get 12/2=6. You now have a new fraction 3/6. Since 3 is odd, you can't divide by 2 anymore. can you divide by 3? Yes. 3/3=1 and 6/3=2 so your new fraction is 1/2. Hope this is what you were looking for.

You can simplify 6/12 by finding the highest factor that can go into 6 and 12 which is 6 and then you divide 6/12 by 6 which is 1/2 so this is one way simplifying 6/12 hope this helped!:)

The graph of y = f(x) has a maximum point at (-2, 4).
solmaris [256]

Answer:

(2,4).

Step-by-step explanation:

Graph of y = f(-x).

The values of x in f(-x) assume the values of -x in f(x).

For example, f(-2) in f(x) is f(2) in f(-x), and f(2) in f(x) is f(-2) in f(-x).

b) Write down the coordinates of the maximum point of the graph of y = f(-x).

In f(x), we have that x = -2. So in f(-x), it will be x = 2. y remains unchanged. So

(2,4).
