However, some characteristics allow the cells to be classified into two prokaryotic and eukaryotic groups. Although similar, these cells have different structures that help to differentiate them quickly. Among eukaryotic cells there are animal and plant cells, which also have different structures that help to differentiate them, as you can see in the diagram.
