Which of the following sentences contains an action verb?
Stels [109]

Hello!

Sentence A contains an action verb. The word "ran" comes from the verb "to run," which is an action verb.

None of the other sentences contain an action verb. An easy way to see if there is an action verb in a sentence is to look if the subject of the sentence is doing something. In option B, Sarah is not doing anything, she simply only feels tired. Options C and D also are incorrect because the subjects of the sentences are not doing any actions.

I hope this helps you! Have a lovely day!

What is the incorrect pronoun shift in ...it is important for a person to be prepared before you adopt a pet
Minchanka [31]
I think the incorrect pronoun shift would be the line "<span>before you adopt a pet". I think it should be before one adopts a pet.  This is because the sentence started with "It is".  The "you" made the sentence very confusing.  The second pronoun should be singular, the pronoun you is often denoted as plural and not singular.</span>
