An overweight adult who has been overweight all of his life, experiences easy weight gain after successful weight-loss attempts,
hjlf

Answer:

set point theory

Explanation:

Set point theory: The term "set point theory" is described as a phenomenon that suggests that an individual's body weight is being regulated at a preferred or predetermined level through a "feedback control mechanism". However, in an adult, body weight is being maintained at some "relatively stable level" for quite a long period in time. In other words, it refers that an individual's body will fight to "maintain" a specific body weight.

In the question above, the given statement illustrates the set point theory.

_____ is an erroneous belief that is fixed and firmly held _____. delusion; despite clear contradictory evidence. negative sympt
liq [111]
The correct answers are delusion; despite clear contradictory evidence.

Answer 1:
A delusion is an erroneous or unfounded belief that a person is convinced of. Delusions are beliefs that are usually fixed and firm in a person's mind. An example of a delusion is strongly believing and being convinced that someone is "out to get you" because of far-fetched scenarios and beliefs you have conjured up in your imagination (you arrived at this belief without any external evidence).

Answer 2: Another aspect of delusions is that they are firmly held despite clear contradictory evidence. Let's consider the previous example again: You believe that someone is out to get you and you hold this belief with strong conviction even when there is no evidence supporting it. For instance the person you feel threatened by has not behaved or acted in any way to suggest that they might harm or hurt you. However, despite this, you still believe that he or she is out to get you.

In this way, a delusion is an erroneous belief that is fixed and firmly held despite clear contradictory evidence.

If you are going to be assigned as one of the administrators for future SATs,what actions will you take to prevent what had occu
ddd [48]

Answer:

I am honored to be the new administrator for this SAT. But it has come to my attention that there was cheating found in the last SAT. There will be changes and those will be as follows.

SAT papers will from now on be randomized. No one paper will be the same this will make it harder for students to copy answers from one another.

There will always be an extra teacher in a classroom. As distractions and blind spots from the teacher are a problem.

Students are not allowed to bring there own pencils. Only the #2 pencil bring by the teacher is allowed. Please note that if a student cannot hold a #2 properly they may be issued rubber sleeves to adjust the feel of the pencil.

An and all distractions may cause the test to be reset and students will take a different copy of the test. this is too anything as a student acting in a inappropriate manner to a ring of a cellphone. Any student tapping or making any "body signals" must be told to stop.

These rules will be placed indefinitely.

EleoNora [17]

Maddie could probably have avoided the problems with organizing her main ideas for delivering a speech by preparing in advance for the presentation.

How to make a good speech?

It is essential that the presenter organizes his ideas and arguments in advance, which allows him to better build a base of support for his speech and generate greater self-confidence. Some essential skills of a good speaker are:

 • Trust
 • Empathy
 • Communication
 • Objectivity

It is therefore essential that when preparing a speech you align your ideas and arguments with the topic and the audience, which helps to retain attention and adhere to your arguments.
