Answer: It is true that intake of alcoholic beverages, damage to you pancreas can include inflammation, atrophy and fibrosis.  

Explanation: About 7 out of 10 cases of chronic pancreas are due to the intake of alcohol.  It is also a known factor for the cancer of the pancreas. And if the condition gets worse a person should immediately visit and consult the doctor and get treatment to prevent adverse effects.
