Two companies have both announced IPOs at $16.50 per share. One of these is undervalued by $2, and the other is overvalued by $1

.60, but you have no way of knowing which is which. You previously placed an order for 1,000 shares of each issue. If an issue is undervalued, it will be rationed, and only half your order will be filled. What profit do you now expect

Answer:

-$600

Explanation:

Given the following :

Order placed = 1000 of each issue

Initial public offering = $16.50

One is undervalued by $2

Other is overvalued by $1.60

If undervaluation occurs, only half will be filled

Undervalued issue :

(1000/2) × $2

= 500 * $2 = $1000

Overvalued issue :

(1000 * $(-1.60)) = $1,600

Expected profit:

Undervalued issue + over valued issue

$1000 + (-$1600)

$1000 - $1600 = -$600

b. Merchandise purchases were $53,000 and $86,000 for March and April, respectively. Typically, 20% of total purchases are paid
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

$58,740

Explanation:

The computation of the cash paid is shown below:

For March month

= March purchase × remaining percentage

= $53,000 × 80%

= $42,400

For April month

= April purchase × given percentage ×  after applying cash discount

= $86,000 × 20% × 95%

= $16,340

So, the total amount of cash paid would be

= $42,400 + $16,340

= $58,740

Simply we multiply the monthly percentage with their percentage criteria

We operate in a world called global village, where time and location do not really impact doing businesses anymore, as people from different countries that are far apart, can do business without the need to physically meet, using different channels of communication made possible by advancement in technology.

Organizations,as the need to for businesses to sell its produce to a larger number of customers increases, are constantly considering selling to customers who are based in other countries through global marketing techniques.

dimaraw [331]

Answer:

The minimum deposit will be of 3,081 and after 40 year it will get 1,000,000 dollars

Explanation:

We have to solve for the C of an annuity growing

\frac{1-(1+g)^{n}\times (1+r)^{-n} }{r - g}

g 0.05

r 0.06

C 3,081

n 40

C \frac{1-(1+0.05)^{40}\times (1+0.06)^{40} }{0.06-0.05} = 1,000,000

C \times 324.57 = 1,000,000

C = 1,000,000/ 324.57 = 3,081
