For now, in the submission box, type in 10 words or greater that you understand that there will be an Oral Midterm Exam for the

course, and that you will prepare topics to present to me at the end of the course.  Don't submit any topics yet, as this will take place just before the end of the course, and the purpose of this box is just to warn you ahead of time of the requirement.

This is simply a warning and just wants you to understand that you will be having an oral exam on different topics at the end of this english course. All you have to do is type in a few words about how you understand and have heeded and seen the warning.

Something like this should be sufficient: I understand that there will be an Oral Midterm Exam at the end of this course, and I will be thinking about different topics in the meantime.

Answer:

Subjective norm.

Explanation:

The theory of planned behavior seeks to explain any health behavior over which the individual has control. It believes that behavior is influenced by a number of factors such as pressure from family or society, the belief that changing that behavior will be easy or difficult, the belief in one's own capacity to do it etc.

According to this theory, there are six constructs that represent a person's actual control of a certain behavior. One of those constructs is called subjective norm. It refers to the person's belief concerning whether or not that behavior is approved by others. If a person believes people who are important to him do not want him to engage in a certain behavior, he will be less likely to do it. That is Carl's situation. His lack of conviction concerning his diet comes from a subjective norm.
