Rana said to her, "I shall follow you" Indirect speech?
IgorC [24]

Answer:

Rana told her that she will follow her.

Explanation:

Changing a speech from the direct to the indirect form requires certain changes to the sentence. This includes removing the quotation marks/ speech marks, then replacing the pronouns as required. Moreover, the tense of the speech will depend on the frame of the sentence.

In the given direct speech, the "I" refers to Rana, and the "you" in her speech means the girl she's talking to. Thus, the indirect speech for the given sentence will be-

Rana told her that she will follow her.

We change the "shall" of the speech because shall is used for first-person whereas in the indirect speech, the I becomes "she" as it refers to Rana.

Thus, the correct sentence is

Rana told her she will follow her.

The principal objective of our booster club is to raise money for new marching band uniforms. Which definition best helps reader
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

A. first, highest in rank or importance

Explanation:

The word principal can mean a crossbar, a sum of money, the highest authority in an organization and something that comes first in order of importance.

In the example sentence, principal is an adjective which modifies the noun it follows, objective. Thus, the right definition of a word is the one that is more suitable according to the word category and context that surrounds it. Actually, the sentence means that the main purpose or goal of the club is to raise money to get new band uniforms.

30 POINTS!!!! PLS HELP!!!!
elena55 [62]

One of the themes is that the author want his readers to know that there is more to life then we can see, or that a building/ strengthening a friendship is worth more than any treasure. Another one is like don't judge a book by its cover in this case the author is trying to point out when gandalf said that biblo is more than what meets the eye and thorin and co. underestimated him. Until he found the ring. Sorry if this is spoiling the book to anyone. Hope this helps! Have a great day!
