Answer:

Me and my friend Maddie had just woke up from last nights awesome sleep over. We felt so tired but it was already 11:00 and we had to get up. When we walked in the kitchen we saw pancakes and 2 glasses of milk. We sat down and heard my mom come from the living room. She told us she had made the pancakes for us and was glad we were finally up and we laughed. The smell of the blueberry pancakes made us hungrier so we began to eat. They tasted amazing! Maddie told me a joke, in the middle of me drinking some milk, and it came out of my nose! It was one of our funniest memories.

Is the sentence a simple or a compound sentence?
FrozenT [24]
This is a compound sentence, because there are two independent clauses here: 1. Stone bridges are strong + but 2. (strong bridges) are costly to build.
The conjunction 'but' connects two independent clauses, and a compound sentence contains at least two independent clauses, whereas a simple sentence has only one.
