Answer: B) y=3/2x+4

Let’s start by turning this into slope-intercept form, or y=mx+b form

3x-2y=6

*subtract 3x on both sides*

-2y=-3x+6

*divide all numbers by -2, in order to get y alone*

y=3/2x-3

When an equation is parallel to another, it has the same slope but different y intercept. So, our new equation will also have a slope of 3/2.

Our current equation is: y=3/2x+b

We do not know what b is, but the question is only asking for possible choices. “B” could be any number, meaning that a possible answer choice could be b)y=3/2x+4.

Hope this helps if you need any more help comment below :)

Renaldo will write 3/20 as a decimal. Which of the following methods should he use?
makvit [3.9K]

ANSWER

1. Multiply the fraction by 5/5 to get a denominator of 100 and then write the numerator as hundredths using a decimal point.

EXPLANATION

Renaldo wants to write

\frac{3}{20}

as a decimal.

He needs a denominator of 100, so he can multiply by

\frac{5}{5}

to obtain:

\frac{3}{20}  =  \frac{3 \times 5}{20 \times 5}

This will be

=  \frac{15}{100}

He can now obtain the decimal equivalent as

= 0.15

The correct choice is option 1.

A plumber has a 2.5 metre long copper pipe
Anastaziya [24]

We have an object measured in <u>Meters</u>, and we want to cut sections of it off in <u>Centimeters</u>, a different unit of measurement.

Because we're subtracting sections of the pipe, we want to make the units the same, this will make our calculations easier.

1 Meter = 100 Centimeters, so, <u>2.5 Meters = 250 Centimeters</u>

We're cutting ( 60 Cm + 35 Cm + 90 Cm ) off, which totals <u>185 Cm</u>.

250 Cm Pipe - 185 Cm Cuts = 65 Cm Pipe Left
