Queen Elizabeth encouraged the education of women but nothing formally was allowed. In her court, she allowed the women the same rights as the men, but was unable to change the patriarchy laws through England. These laws prevented women from being in the professions or being formally educated. However, Elizabeth living during the Renaissance believed in expanding the rights of women and did so in her court.
