Which learning style is employed when you read a newspaper?

I think the learning style employed when you read a newspaper are the reading style and the visual style.

Learning styles are the ways an individual can learn, according with Dr. Neil Fleming´s investigation during the late ´80s  there are four main types of learners:

  • Visual learners
  • Auditory learners
  • Reading/writing learners
  • Kinesthesic learners

The model is named VARK after the acronyms of the types of learning process.

When you are reading a newspaper I believe you are mixing two types of leaners the reading and the visual one. The reading type it is found on the words you read and how the information is absorved by you; while the visual part are those graphs or charts used to make more clear the information written in words like in the economy part or some social studies printed in the newspaper.

I will give a little explanation why I don´t think that the learning styles used are Auditory or Kinesthesic:

Auditory learners are those that prefer to listen to what they want to understand better, this type of learners are more keen to listen to the radio or podcasts in order to learn from something.

Kinesthesic learners are the ones that learn from experience and practice whether if it is simulated or real. They tend to understand better examples taken out from the nature or the reality than fictional ones.

I hope the answer help you and make you notice that the types of learning are not "one or another" if not they can be a mixture between them to understand better the information.

ELEN [110]

In her poem, Shelly said that this king had a cold command. She also said "The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed" which suggests that this king often looked down on others, and felt superior. On the other hand, she states how passionate the sculptor was and how the pedestal states, "My name is Ozymandias, king of kings; Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!". Using both of these resources we can determine that the sculptor sees the king as a very powerful figure, and that he looks up to and cares about this ruler. In other words, Shelly believes that rulers are harsh and cold, while the sculptor of this statue believes that rulers are great and powerful.

I just took the test, don't know what I got on this question yet tho, but here is my answer.

Why does the family build a fort on the edge of the savannah in Swiss family Robinson
viktelen [127]
In the Swiss Family Robinson, the family in the story line decided to build the fort in the edge of the savannah in order to protect themselves from harm and to be able to look out for each other as they knew that the pirates or people in living nearby could attack them any time soon. This is the reason why they decided to build the fort on the edge.
