Such a beautiful day, I went outside and collected lots of charcoal. We need to have a lot of charcoal to make paints. The paint

that we make is very different from paint that other cultures make. We make a lot of hard work on it. And our paint is moist and easy to use when it's dry. Here is how to make it, First you need to do is prepare a bow and a mixing stick. Then you add charcoal and a few drops of walnut alkyd medium. The charcoal will also get kinda dry so keep adding until it gets moist and shine liquid and there you have a black paint. We use the black paints to put on and protect our eyes. We also look beautiful just with it. Now that we've made our paints we start to paint. But we draw things differently from other places. This is how we draw, the head and the lower body are viewed from the sides. Then we draw the head dress… we need to add a headdress, a pectoral decoration and a tunic. Now we need to add the color black on some of the places. Then we need to add large ornamental necklaces. The necklaces mainly have large pieces. The last few things we need to add is Hieroglyphic for the background. After all drawings are done you color the background and we are done ! I'm a very talented painter and if I am then I will need to make a lot of paintings. First for good talented painters should perspect and status the figures were shown in a system of strips that looks much like a series of comic or graphic novels in the egyptian time. The size of a figure indicated its relative importance in the image. Kings were portrayed larger than life to symbolise their god like power. A good painter should know the Grid System. The grid system we use is in squares. The grid system has to be horizontal eight guidelines and one vertical line bisecting the figure through the ear rather than a complete grid. Well is all I could tell you in a book. Come to Egypt and you will learn a whole lot more about painters. does this article make sense

Answer: The article contains minor grammatical and punctuation errors.

Explanation:

The article provides a description of charcoal paints, the process of making paint, how those paints are being used in sculptures, what those sculptures symbolizes, and the role painters play in Egypt. The article does makes sense, but there are some grammatical mistakes here and there throughout the article. For example, the line 'We make a lot of hard work on it' doesn't really make sense. What's make a lot of hard work? Rather it should have been 'We put a lot of hard work on it.'

Similarly, 'First you need to do is prepare a bow and a mixing stick', here it should have been either 'First, you need to prepare a bow and mixing stick' or 'All you need to do is prepare a bow and a mixing stick.' While writing any article, no matter how talented or good you're at your work, you shouldn't flaunt it, this degrades the quality of an article. In the sentence, 'I'm a very talented painter and if I am then I will need to make a lot of paintings' 'I'm very talented painter' makes readers actually doubt the talent of the artist rather than appreciating it. So it is good to skip this statement.

The readers can easily make out what the speaker is trying to depict in the article, but the speaker just need to work on grammar and punctuations to make the article perfect.

Write a short paragraph to prepare for a group discussion. Explain your thoughts on the issue of homework. Do students have too
stepladder [879]

Answer:

In my opinion, homework help students practice getting a better understanding of the various topics taught daily at school. Homework gives way for individual learning i.e a way by which students can discover and learn new things and also build on what has been taught at school.

Although homework is good and helps students expand their knowledge on different topics of various subjects, it is usually too much. For instance, a total number of 10 subjects are taught daily, if all the teachers give homework on all 10 subjects with lots of questions, students will not be able to meet up as it would be too overwhelming on students.

I believe that homework should be limited because when it is too much it causes sleep deprivation, stress, weight loss, inability to function properly in the class. Two hours of homework is what is recommended for high school students by the National Education Association.  Study shows that a percentage of students claim that homework is the main cause of stress.

In conclusion, to reduce the workload on students, teachers should conduct a test and classwork after each class.
