Participle is a verbal form that is used as if it were an adjective or adverb.

So, if the verb is, for example, "to bark" the participle would be"barking" as in "this barking dog"

and the correct answer is b. barking!

The participle in this sentence would be barking, participles are basically verbs that can be used as adjectives. Here barking is describing the dog.

you recently took part in a cleaning company in your neighborhood write an email to your friend to tell him or her about the day
grin007 [14]

Hi ^Insert Name^,

There was a cleaning company in my neighbourhood and I took part in it. It was great and all but the people were not. They were astonishingly arrogant and rude. Give them a smile, they give you a dirty look. Most of them were not even from this neighbourhood!

The cleaning company allowed me to volunteer and even paid me well. It was around the ^Insert Location (Shop, Restaurant etc.)^ so it got a lot of people who were interested in working there. It was all about sending people off to homes, centres, companies and even inside the company, to clean.

The first day, which was also yesterday, was a bit harsh. I was late by seconds and all I hear is the workers saying 'She won't make it the first day!'. I really wished you was here at times like this. It (1. **sses me off) having people talk behind my back. If I could, I would have gotten physical, but that would have ruin my reputation and make me lose my place. I was told to clean the factory department, which was a lot of work I tell you, and a corridor or two. The machines were dangerous to clean so I had to clean the floors. We were not to interfere with their work so I cleaned it during lunch. A man who worked there saw me cleaning till I was covered in sweat and still decided to litter! I was about to give him a peace of my mind when he apologized and picked it up. He was lucky that he did!

My shift was over after a long 8 hours and I went back home. My first payment was on the same day. I got £29.58, which was pretty good comparing to my last job.

Well, I hope you are doing good as well! Hoping to read about your day too!

Cheers,

^Insert your name^

1. you can change this, if you don't want it to have a censored word, to: angers me

If you wanted a longer email, write about the second day and delete the line in bold-italics. The bold-underlined are what you need to change!

I will give consent for you to write this as your own! :)
