Compare and contrast the author’s depictions of Nicholas II and Vladimir Lenin. What do these depictions reveal about these hist
Vinvika [58]

Answer: The comparison of Nicholas II and Vladimir Lenin

Explanation Both the leaders were hungry for power and came onto to become leaders by promising good for the people but the similarity didn't catch one's eye but how different to each historical figure was has been highlighted many a time.

  • Nicholas II was czar and hence being born into a royal family made him an obvious leader whereas Lenin gained prominence in the party and came into power thus.
  • Lenin had the willingness to lead Russia used the Bolshevik party to do so, however the Tsar was happy to be with his family and pets and not a bit interested in leadership.
  • Nicholas II and his entire family were assassinated whereas Lenin died of natural causes way later.
  • Lenin was the more brutal of the two and used his power to get what he wanted even if it meant  torturing or murdering. here Nicholas made some concessions.
  • The military responsibility was on Nicholas II during his regime but when Lenin took over he would delegate it.

Finally, none of them actually cared for the poor, the oppressed were further in distress when these two came to power.

What else happened before the cherokee left. from trail of tears?
grigory [225]

Before the Cherokee left on the Trial of Tears, the Cherokee people were divided, that was the best way to handle the government´s determination to get its hands on their territory. Some wanted to stay and fight, ohers thought it was better to agree to leave in exchange for money and other concessions.

In 1835 a few self appointed representatives of the Cherokee nation negotiated the treaty of New Echota, which traded all Cherokee land east of the Mississippi for US$ 5 Million, relocation assistance and compensation for lost properties.

SSSSS [86.1K]

The statements are not described but the conditions of the railroads in the United States after the civil war was not good.

At that time, the president was Abraham Lincoln, and he compromised that the government would subsidize the cost to build a trascontinental railroad. After the war ended railroad construction in the West and South continued for decades.

There were 2 main railway companies after the Civil War: the Central Pacific Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad. Encouraged by government who provided funds, between 1865 and 1869, the Central Pacific laid 690 miles of track and the Union Pacific 1,087 miles.

Government helped the railway companies by giving them land, as they wanted American to expand west as cities were overcrowded in the east.
