Marigold Corp. has outstanding 77000 shares of 5% preferred stock with a $10 par value and 145600 shares of $3 par value common
padilas [110]

Answer:

$ 175,900.00

Explanation:

Yearly preferred stock dividends=number of preferred shares*dividend percentage*par value

yearly preferred stock dividends=77,000*5%*$10=$ 38,500.00

Since preferred stock is cumulative it implies that dividends in arrears for last year must be paid alongside this year dividends

dividends to preferred stock=$ 38,500*2=$77,000.00

common stockholders' dividends=total dividends-preferred stock dividends=$252,900-$77,000=$ 175,900.00

Suppose that the four inspectors at a film factory are supposed to stamp the expiration date on each package of film at the end
padilas [110]

Think through the following events:

A: the produce is not marked

B1: the produce is marked by John

B2: the produce is marked by Tom

B3: the produce is marked y Jeff

B4: the produce is marked by Pat

Applying the rule of elimination, the formula would be:

P (A) = P (B1) P (A|B1) + P (B2) P (A|B2) + P (B3) P (A|B3) + P (B4) P (A|B4)

And the following are the probabilities:

P(B1)P(A|B1) = (.20)(1/200) = .001

P(B2)P(A|B2) = (.60)(1/100) = .006

P(B3)P(A|B3) = (.15)(1/90) = .00167

P(B4)P(A|B4) = (.05)(1/200) = .00025

The likelihood that the product is not imprinted is equal to .001 + .006 + .00167 + .00025 = .00892

The probability that it was reviewed by John is = .001/.00892 = .1121

What concept implies that a firm's marginal revenue product curve for labor will slope downward in the short run?
leva [86]
Law of Diminishing Marginal Returns (LDMR). As in Economic theory, there will be fixed and variable factors of production in the short run. This would imply that beyond a certain level of production, the next unit of variable factor added to the production would result in a lower output as compared to the previous unit of variable input that was added to the production. This is ultimately due to the over usage of the fixed factors of production (such as machinery and infrastructure) and resulting in a less "efficient" amount of output due to the physical operating limits of fixed factors of production. As such in the short run, MR will slope downward if the firm is producing beyond its most efficient point of production to ensure more products can be produced given a limited amount of time.
