Y = -4/3x+4

If you just use the simple formula Y=mx+b it’s fairly simple

M= the slope and the slope = rise/run so you find a point on your line like (6,-4), and your next closest pint which is (0,4) and count how many squares up (rise) and over (run). The negative comes from the fact that on the run you’re moving to the left or further negative on the x axis.

B= the y intercept so where the line crosses the y axis

Plot (25/3) and (42/3) on the number line.
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

Refer to the Attachment

Step-by-step explanation:

Rewriting the fractions in decimal and whole number, we have the following:

\frac{25}{3} = 8\frac{1}{3} = 8.3

\frac{42}{3} = 14

Thus, 42/3 is on 14 and 25/3 is on 8 and then add 1/3 from 8 going to 9.

Therefore, the points must be plotted as follows:

The blue point indicates the 42/3 while the red point indicates the 25/3.

I need help ASAP!!!!!
ycow [4]

Input Data :

Point 1 ( x A , y A )  = (-6, -2)

Point 2 ( x B , y B )  = (1, -6)

Objective :

Find the distance between two given points on a line.

Formula :

Distance between two points =  √ ( x B − x A )2 + ( y B − y A ) 2

Solution :

Distance between two points =  √ ( 1 - -6 ) 2 + ( − 6 − − 2 ) 2

=  √ 7 2 + ( − 4 ) 2

=  √ 49 + 16

= √ 65  = 8.0623

Distance between points (-6, -2) and (1, -6) is 8.0623

Or 8.

Best of luck!!

2\sqrt{3}

------------------------

Steps:

1st write out equation

\frac{\sqrt{60}}{\sqrt{5}} \\

Second write the conjugant and multiply it.

\frac{\sqrt{60}}{\sqrt{5}} * \frac{\sqrt{5} }{\sqrt{5} }

After multiplying you should get,

\frac{10\sqrt{3}}{5}

now after simplifying you should get

2\sqrt{3}
