Cytochalasin B is a chemical that disrupts microfilament formation.

Answer:

Formation of the mitotic spindle.

Explanation:

Mitotic spindle is made up of microfilament so disruption in microfilament simply means spindles will not form. If spindles will not form then the chromatids will not separate during anaphase and cell cycle will be at halt which will ultimately interfere with cell division because in the absence of spindle fibers cell cycle progression will not occur i.e. cell cycle will not be able to proceed from anaphase to telophase. It is only after telophase cytokinesis occurs which completes a cell cycle but here in this condition this chemical named as cytochalasin B will interfere with spindle formation and cell cycle will arrest in anaphase and later on cell will die out due to apoptosis.

How can you reconcile this observation with the cause of death being hypoxia?
Neko [114]
Death by hypoxia can be caused by airway obstruction(strangulation) or poison(cyanide, CO).
In the case, there is a toxicology report saying the victim is poisoned by cyanide. The organ damaged also diffuse and not concentrated. Cyanide works by inhibiting an enzyme in the mitochondria that use oxygen. Therefore, the cells can't oxygen for cellular respiration, cause the tissue die of hypoxia. The oxygen is there but it can't be used. The laboratory report that found high oxygen level in the blood also supports the cyanide poisoning.

Where exactly is the trait if it is a "sex-linked" trait?
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

The sex chromosomes, X and Y.

Explanation:

If it is sex linked, it is passed on when the parent donates their X or Y chromosome to their offspring. "Sex-linked" means that depending on the biological sex of the offspring, it may or may not carry the gene for the trait.
