Answer: Most American were not interested in joining the League of Nations.

Details:

In line with American public opinion, the majority leader of Senate, Henry Cabot Lodge, argued that the commitment to the League of Nations (a part of the Treaty of Versailles) could take away US Congress' constitutional right to declare war and obligate them to military actions initiated by the League of Nations.

The United States never joined the League of Nations, in spite of the fact that an organization such as the League of Nations was the signature idea of US President Woodrow Wilson. He had laid out 14 Points for establishing and maintaining world peace following the Great War (World War I). Point #14 was the establishment of an international peacekeeping association.

The Treaty of Versailles adopted that idea, but back home in the United States, there was not support for involving America in any association that could diminish US sovereignty over its own affairs or involve the US again in wars beyond those pertinent to the United States' own national security. Because of its objections to membership in the League of Nations, the United States Senate refused to ratify the Treaty of Versailles.

1. How were government and religion intertwined in Egyptian society?
ruslelena [56]

The establishment of temples, the enactment of rules and regulations, the imposition of taxes, the coordination of work, the promotion of commerce with surrounding communities, and the protection of national interests all contributed to the establishment of social order.

This is further explained below.

What is Religion?

Generally, Generally speaking, religion is described as a social-cultural framework of predetermined behaviors and practices, values, beliefs, views of the world, texts, holy sites, prophecies, laws, or organizations, which typically connects mankind to the supernatural, metaphysical, and spiritual elements.

But there is no academic agreement on what exactly qualifies as a religion.

In conclusion, The building of temples, the passage of rules and regulations, the enforcement of taxes, the coordination of labor, the promotion of trade with neighboring communities, and the safeguarding of national interests were all factors that led to the formation of social order.
