They will react in a negative manner and be very upset and angry by more troops coming to their cities and towns. The colonists’ lands and homes are being overtaken by soldiers who have no right to claim their property as their own and they are outraged! The colonists have no say in the matter and hate the quartering of soldiers- therefore they are going to be frustrated.
