Three roads lead into a stadium's parking areas. Each road has four lanes (two in each direction) with a capacity oftwo parking

attendants are required to park cars for each type a lot, while just one can handle each type b lot. Of the ten lots that will be used tonight, six are type a and four are type b. How many parking attendants are required for tonight's event?1,00vehicles/lane/hour. If 10,000 vehicles are expected for a game, how long will it take for all of them to enter the parking areas?

Answer:

Number of attendants required are 16.

10000 vehicles will take 8 hours 20 min. to enter the parking area.

Step-by-step explanation:

Attendants required to park cars for each type a lot = 2

Attendants required to park cars for 6 type a lots = 2×6 = 12

Attendants required to park cars for each type b lot = 1

Attendants required to park cars for 4 type b lot = 4×1 = 4

So, total attendants required are  12+4 = 16.

total number of roads = 3

number of lanes for 1 road = 4

number of lanes for 3 roads = 3×4 = 12

number of vehicles one lane can park = 100 /hour

number of vehicles 12 lanes can park = 12×100 = 1200/hour

So, 1200 vehicles takes parking area for 60 min.

10000 vehicles takes parking area for  \frac{10000\times 60}{1200} min.

                                                               = 500 minutes.

60 min. = 1 hour

500 min. = \frac{500}{60} hours = 8 hours 20 min.

So, 10000 vehicles will take 8 hours 20 min. to enter the parking area.

There are 6 time zones in the US: Hawaiian, Alaskan, Pacific, Mountain, Central, and Eastern. To figure out the time in different zones start with what you know: It's 10 am in the Eastern zone, and LA is in Pacific time. Now go back to the list and count backwards from Eastern to Pacific: 3. For each different time zone subtract 1 from 10: 10-3=7. In LA it would be C. 7 am :)

The bivariate distribution of X and Y is described below: X Y 1 2 1 0.21 0.47 2 0.14 0.18 A. Find the marginal probability distr
jasenka [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the bivariate distribution of X and Y is described below:

x 1 2

y

1 0.21 0.14 0.35

0 0.47 0.18 0.65

Pdf of Y is

Y     1     0

p    0.68  0.32

C) Pdf of X is

x      1       2

p  0.35  0.65

Mean of X = 1(0.35)+2(0.65)=1.65

Var(x) = E(x^2)-Mean ^2 = 1(0.35)+4(0.65)-1.65^2\\=2.95-2.7225\\=0.2275

C) Mean of Y = 1(0.68)+0 = 0.68

Var(y) = 1(0.68)-0.68^2

= 0.2176

Stanley had $10.75. he bought a notebook for $1.89 and a package of pens for $3.72 he used the rest of his money to buy as many
GaryK [48]
1.89 + 3.72 = 5.61
10.75 - 5.61= 5.14
5.14 x 100= 514
0.64 x 100= 64
(You can skip out the multiplying by 100 but doing this step makes it easier to do without a calculator)
514/64= 8.3
Round the number down to 8 and this is your answer.

The inverse functions have a property that the composition of two inverse functions always results is x.

From the given options, only the pair given in option B result in the composition equal to x.

F(x)= \frac{12}{x}-18 \\ \\
G(x)= \frac{12}{x+18} \\ \\
F(G(x))= \frac{12}{ \frac{12}{x+18} }-18 \\ \\
F(G(x))= \frac{12(x+18)}{12}-18 \\ \\
F(G(x))=x+18-18=x

This proves, F(x) and G(x) are inverse of each other.

So the answer to this question is Option B
