W.E.B. Du Boise was a strong leader of the black people in the U.S. in the late 1800s, beginning of the 1900s. He thought that Washington’s agenda for the black people was wrong. He considered that change in the society could have been reached supporting the schools for black people. His thoughts were a major influence in the civil rights movement of the 1950s.
