4 cot theta
=
tan theta
how do I I find the value of quadrant?
Ray Of Light [21]

Answer:

4cotα=tanα

4(1/tanα)=tanα

(4/tanα)=tanα

cross multiply

=> 4=tan²α

√4=√tan²α

±2=tanα

α=arc( tan) |2|

α=63.4° ( in first quadrant)

and

α=180+63.4=243.4 in the third quadrant

since we also found a negative answer( i.e –2) then α also lies in quadrants where it gives a negative value(i.e second and fourth quadrants)

α=180–63.4=116.6° in the second quadrant

α=360–63.4=296.6 in the fourth quadrant

therefore theta( in my case, alpha) lies in all four quadrants and is equal to:

α=63.4°,243.4°,116.6°and 296.6°

A line passes through the given points. Write an equation for the line in point-slope form. Then rewrite the equation in slope-i
Andre45 [30]

Answer:

The answer to your question is  a)      y - 2 = -5(x - 3)

                                                      b)     y = -5x + 17

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

A (1, 12)

B (3, 2)

Process

1.- Find the slope

Formula

m = \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}

Substitution

m = \frac{2 - 12}{3 - 1} = \frac{-10}{2} = - 5

2.- Find the equation in point slope form

Equation

                             y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Substitution and equation

                           y - 2 = -5(x - 3)

3.- Find the slope-intercept form

Expand the point slope form

                           y - 2 = -5x + 15

Simplify

                           y = -5x + 15 + 2

Equation

                          y = -5x + 17

Find out six rational numbers lying between -4/8 and -3/4
rjkz [21]

Answer:

-41/80, -45/80, -48/80, -51/80, -55/80, -59/80

Step-by-step explanation:

-4/8, -3/4 = -4/8, -6/8

               = -40/80, -60/80

∴ Rational numbers between -40/80 and -60/80 = -41/80, -45/80, -48/80, -51/80, -55/80, -59/80.

If 6 is subtracted from 3 times a certain number, the result is 84. Find the number.
Soloha48 [4]

Answer:

30

Step-by-step explanation:

So to do this you would set up the equation 3x-6=84 than you would add 6 to both sides so you would get 3x=90 than you would divide 3 from both sides so x=30 and that is the final answer which is correct
