Answer:

can observe all of the characters of the story from the outside.

Explanation:

A third-person narrator is a kind of narrator that tells the story as if he or she was an observer of the story without being involved in it. As such, the narrator refers to the characters in the third person, like she or he. This narrator is the most common form of narrator in literature, and though it is often the case that he or she is not involved in the story, that is not necessarily the case and in fact this kind of narrator can become an integral part of the story.

valentina_108 [34]

The answer is D. safe and secure.

Waverly is only six when this short story begins. She lives in Chinatown, in San Francisco, and at such a young age, she sees the world in a simple way. As a first-person narrator she says, for instance, that she didn't think of herself as a poor child because her bowl was always full.

In the excerpt, she seems to wish to convey that comfortable simplicity. The smell of food combined with her father leaving to work and the door being locked evoke a sensation of safety, the belief that everything is and will always be just fine.

Which is more humane: capital punishment or<br> life imprisonment? 2 paragraphs explaining why.
lidiya [134]

Answer:

In my opinion, capital punishment is much more humane. When you sentence someone to life in prison, that is far worse than ending their suffering with a quick execution.

That person is forced to live the rest of their life in a tiny, uncomfortable prison cell. Everyday they repeat the same tasks over and over. It is tourture to whoever is sentenced to it, but on the other hand, if they get the electric chair, it's over like that. Much faster, less suffering.
