Imagery is a literary device that helps paint a picture of what is being told,  it can include descriptions on how something smelled, sounded, or looked and also on how the characters felt. , in Things Fall Apart Achebe uses imagery to help us understand  what is going on, how the characters fell and in a way,  we can almost hear or feel or see it for ourselves.
