President Calvin Coolidge was the first President of United States to broadcast the state of the Union Speech on the Radio. <u>Growing importance of Radio </u>and the requests received at the White House made him use Radio to his advantage. He pointed out the<u> increasing value of Radio</u> for securing public support in the forthcoming election. There was a Multi-Station Radio Hookup through which all section of the country listened to him.
