GIFS affect our converstations by giving us a visual or set of emotion.  For example, if I text my friend  or whom ever the GIF is basicallly giving out emotion by using a visual, since more to less GIFS are basically short video clips/ photos. If your happy, you send a Happy face emoji/ GIF, same thing with other emotions. To conclude, GIFS express more than any simple text message.

If your happy, you send a GIF of someone jumping happily, same thing with other emotions. To conclude, GIFS express more emotion than a simple text message would.
