He was known to be deeply rooted in architecture, science, arts, music, mathematics, botany, geology, and anatomy. Da Vinci was also a politician. His works in these various fields reflected humanist ideals of Italy. Humanism emphasized that citizens be involved in intelligent conversations and should work towards the betterment on humans.
