Answer:

The most famous popular resistance took place in Boston, where opponents of the Stamp Act, calling themselves the Sons of Liberty, enlisted the rabble of Boston in opposition to the new law. This mob paraded through the streets with an effigy of Andrew Oliver, Boston’s stamp distributor, which they hanged from the Liberty Tree and beheaded before ransacking Oliver’s home. Oliver agreed to resign his commission as stamp distributor.

Determined colonial resistance made it impossible for the British government to bring the Stamp Act into effect. In 1766, Parliament repealed it.

The Free Exercise  Clause protects citizens' proper to practice their faith as they please, as long as the exercise does not run afoul of a "public morals" or a "compelling" governmental interest.

The U.S. ideally suited court held that the unfastened-exercise clause lets the kingdom prohibit sacramental peyote use and the country can therefore deny unemployment advantages to individuals discharged for such use.

The Free exercise Clause recognizes our right to agree with and practice our religion, or not, consistent with the dictates of sense of right and wrong. Nata [24]
No, technically speaking it is false that industrial production fell due to a lack of raw materials in Japan after WWI, since although Japan lacked a great many materials, they invaded foreign territories in order to make up for this deficit.

Answer:

  • The Bush coalition in the 2000 election included not only Republicans (his party supporters), but also voters identifying themselves as independents and as socially conservative Democrats.

Explanation:

In the 2000 election, around 90% of Republican voters said they supported George W. Bush.  He also got support from about 60% of voters identifying themselves as independents, as well as nearly 30% of voters identifying themselves as socially conservative Democrats.  (Source of statistics: Pew Research Center polling, "The 2000 Elections.")

"Compassionate conservatism" advocated for traditional families, welfare reform, strengthening education, and providing assistance to people and countries in poverty.  George W. Bush described it this way:  "It is compassionate to actively help our citizens in need. It is conservative to insist on accountability and results."
