Answer:

Maintenance of internal conditions within a limited range.

Explanation:

Homeostasis refers to the ability of the body to maintain internal stability to compensate for environmental changes. Homeostasis maintains conditions inside an organism in an stable, relatively constant way. This state of equilibrium maintains the body functioning correctly.

Thus, the goal of homeostasis is the maintenance of internal conditions within a limited range in order to achieve equilibrium.

Note:

Homeostasis does not manipulate external conditions but internal ones, therefore the option of "manipulation of the external environment to meet the needs of the internal environment" is incorrect.

One of the functions of homeostasis is generation of body heat, however, it's not the only one (it also includes maintenance of levels of sugar and vitamins in the body, for example) so, the option " generation of body heat"

Homeostasis process makes the necessary changes in the systems in the body in order to maintain equilibrium when the environment changes, thus homeostasis is not about making no changes on the systems but to make the necessary changes adapting to the environment. Thus the option "status quo (no change) of all systems in the body" is incorrect.

Can Computers Create Art? Part 1

This is the first part of a series of posts on the topic of whether computers can create art, adapted from my longer essay on that topic. For lessons from the past about AI and art, perhaps no invention is more significant than photography. This first essay addresses the question: How did photography become respected as an art form, and what lessons does this hold for new artistic AI technologies?

Prior to the invention of photography, realistic images of the world could only be produced by skilled artists. In today’s world, we are so swamped with images that it is hard to imagine just how special and unique it must have felt to see a well-executed realistic painting. And the skills of professional artists had steadily improved over the centuries; by the 19th-century, artists such as the Pre-Rafaelites and the French Neoclassicists have achieved dazzling visual realism in their work.

The technical skills of realism were inseparable from the other creative challenges in making images. This changed when photography automated the task of producing images of the real world.

Why fines are ineffective as legal punishment?
Lesechka [4]

My name is Bella Thorne, and this is the story of the time I found out I had dyslexia. I remember when I started first grade. Right away, it was awful because I couldn't read as well as the other kids. My brain mixed up letters like b and d and m and w. Dyslexia is different for EVERYONE who has it. For me, it just made it harder to read or write. I started working really hard on how to read better. My family helped me by making me read everything from menus, to cereal boxes, to road signs. Today, I read a year above my grade level. And I learned to face my problems, not run away from them. Dyslexia makes things hard for me but, not impossible. You just watched a TTI, on Disney Channel
