Answer:

Articless of Confederation

Explanation:

Although the Declaration served as inspiration for American democracy, it did not outline a real system of government. In the years during and immediately after the Revolution, the United States government operated under the Articles of Confederation, a government system that placed most of the power in the hands of state governments.

We will talk more about the details of the Articles of Confederation later in this course, but for now, it is enough to say that at the end of the 1780s, it was clear that the Articles were not working. The United States needed a new and stronger plan for the government.

In 1787, representatives of the states met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the Constitutional Convention. His task was difficult: to create a system of government that was powerful enough to meet the needs of the United States, but not powerful enough to become tyrannical.

They also wanted to balance the will of the majority with the rights of the minority, so that the powerful could not trample the few.

Under the leadership of the Revolutionary War hero George Washington, delegates debated the elements of a new Constitution. The final form, powerfully influenced by Virginian James Madison and the New Yorker Alexander Hamilton, reinforced the idea that the government derives from a social contract of citizens for their mutual benefit:

Peoples of united states has to form a further perfect Union, establish Fairness, safeguard domestic Calmness, provide common defense, promote General Welfare and ensure the Blessings of Freedom for us and our Future generations, instruction and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

The Constitution written in Philadelphia over two hundred years ago is still the basis of the US government. UU. Amended only twenty-seven times in that period (including the first series of ten amendments, or the Bill of Rights, which was approved immediately after the ratification of the Constitution), the Constitution of the United States is the oldest working national constitution of the world. It serves as a model for the unique form of political democracy found in the United States.
