When the woman in “Mirror” sees her reflection, she _____.

English

In the story, it's written that she has drowned a young girl. But it's not an actual winning, rather than it convey that the woman usually see a young girl in the reflection but as she got older, she couldn't see the beautiful reflection anymore.
So i think the most appropriate answer would be : Realized that she must forget the past

hope this helps

Is He's a pig a metaphor
gavmur [86]
Yes. It's a metaphor because the writer is not implying that the boy is actually a pig; his actions represent a pig. And thus, it is a metaphorical phrase, nonetheless an actual description!

Kazeer [188]

Demonstrative: This, that, these, those.

Sentence: That is my favorite food.

Reflexive: Myself, herself, himself, yourself, ourselves, themselves.

Sentence: She wanted to learn how to ride a bike all by herself.

Intensive: Myself, herself, himself, yourself, ourselves, themselves.

Sentence: He himself wanted to bake a cake OR He wanted to back a cake himself.
