There are 3 sets of 2 identical areas:  2 top/bottom, 2 sides, 2 ends.

Suppose the length is 14 ft, the width 7 ft and the height 8 ft.

A =  2 * (base area) + 2 * (end area) + 2 (side area)

   = 2 * (98 ft^2)       + 2 * (56 ft^2)     + 2 (112 ft^2)

   = 196 ft^2 + 112 ft^2 + 224 ft^2

A  =  532 ft^2 total
