Hello @Bblakemedeiros,

How are you doing? The Berlin Wall Was a Wall built during the Cold war. <span>The official purpose of this Berlin Wall was to keep Western “fascists” from entering East Germany and undermining the socialist state, but it primarily served the objective of stemming mass defections from East to West. The Berlin Wall stood until November 9, 1989, when the head of the East German Communist Party announced that citizens of the GDR could cross the border whenever they pleased.

I hope that this has helped you, and if you need more help, contact me!

Thank you,

The Berlin Wall was built by the communist government of East Berlin 1961. The wall separated East Berlin and West Berlin. It was built in order to prevent people from fleeing East Berlin. In many ways it was the perfect symbol of the "Iron Curtain" that separated the democratic western countries and the communist countries of Eastern Europe throughout the Cold War.

Hope this helps!

Who prevented the Mongol conquest of Japan
lutik1710 [3]
According to History it was a kamikaze. Japanese for divine wind. Works of fiction say it was hurricane or typhoon. But I would not call that a person.

The war was actually super significant, and there wasn't a singular person that actually prevented the conquest. To my knowledge anyway.

Explain the factors that led to kennedy's victory over nixon
Gnesinka [82]
Fraud from the Chicago "river vote" gave Kennedy the State of Illinois and the electoral college victory.

"Kennedy won Illinois by less than 9,000 votes out of 4.75 million cast, or a margin of two-tenths of one percent. [16] However, Nixon carried 92 of the state's 101 counties, and Kennedy's victory in Illinois came from the city of Chicago, where Mayor Richard J. Daley held back much of Chicago's vote until the late morning hours of November 9. The efforts of Daley and the powerful Chicago Democratic organization gave Kennedy an extraordinary Cook County victory margin of 450,000 votes—more than 10% of Chicago's 1960 population of 3.55 million—thus barely overcoming the heavy Republican vote in the rest of Illinois. Earl Mazo, a reporter for the pro-Nixon New York Herald Tribune, investigated the voting in Chicago and claimed to have discovered sufficient evidence of vote fraud to prove that the state was stolen for Kennedy.
