aivan3 [116]

Frost wedging is a type of physical weathering of rock.

Explanation:

Physical or mechanical weathering affects the rock structurally but does not change the chemical composition. Mechanical forces will rub, break or shatter the rock surfaces. Wedging, abrasion, exfoliation are different types of physical weathering.

Water is one of the main sources which alter the structure of the rocks physically.

Frost wedging occurring due to flow of freezing water over the rocks. This frozen water enters the rock through the cracks and crevices on the rock surface,  and will expand inside and makes the rocks to crack further and breaks it apart.

An engine does 25 J of work and exhausts 20 J of waste heat during each cycle. If the cold-reservoir temperature is 30 ∘C, what
hodyreva [135]

Answer:

 T₂=659.25 K

Explanation:

Given that

W= 25 J

Qr = 20  J

T₁ = 20⁰ = 20 +273 = 293 K

The minimum temperature of the hot reservoir = T₂

If the engine is Carnot engine then

Qa= W+ Qr

Qa=25 + 20 J

Qa= 45 J

\dfrac{Qa}{Qr}=\dfrac{T_2}{T_1}

T_2=\dfrac{Qa}{Qr}\times T_1

T_2=\dfrac{45}{20}\times 293\ K

T₂=659.25 K

Therefore the temperature of hot reservoir will be 659.25 K

What statement is true about the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye?
Alja [10]
Based on the options above, I see how the last option would actually be most fitting to how "the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye". This would be in separate parts, which would be divided into a certain number, which would actually be only 7 ranges of wavelengths. And therefore, this last statement would actually go very well and it would actually be the correct answer. And this would all relate to how <span> the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye, it's based on it's own 7 division parts that it has.

Your answer: </span>\textsf{It is divided into seven ranges of wavelengths}
