the remainder of the novel follows the children as they are trained to fight in the brutal game and groomed to portray a certain image for the audience of people who watch the televised games.
when the games begin in an forested are a, katniss rushes away from the excitement of getting materials and develops a strategy. the rest of the novel follows katniss on her journey of the games and killing people from other districts. finally at the end katniss and peeta won the games but the gamesmaker rescind the rule about dual victors.
