Answer: Right in the beginning of your assignment/essay.

Explanation: Your introduction introduces what you will be presenting/saying/debating in your essay/debate/assignment/etc. Because you don't want to introduce what you are doing in the middle of your assignment or at the end, you would put your introduction right in the beginning.
