I said “almost” because I wanted to leave space for discussion; Concerning if the U.S. The city was named for a different reason other than being named after a place or person. So to be clear, the reason why we have 30 cities named after Washington is that the people alive at the time these cities were being built came together and for whatever reason decided that would be the name. Each city name has an origin, a story of how people concluded that Washington would be their name.
