Answer:

The average expenditure is $4586.32

Step-by-step explanation:

January: $5,678.54

February: $3,665.77

March: $4,231.98

April: $4,768.99

The average monthly expenditure is the sum of all expenditures computed/number of months

Jan+Fev+Mar+Apr/4 = 5,678.54 + 3,665.77 + $4,231.98 + $4,768.99/4 = 18,345/4 = 4586.32

So, the average expenditure is $4586.32

Hi! This is piecewise equations! Please help if you can :)
Aleonysh [2.5K]

Notice that f(x) is only defined over the intervals 0 ≤ x < 3 and 3 < x ≤ 6; that is, all real numbers x between 0 and 3, and between 3 and 6, but not including 3. Since there is no definition for f(x) at x = 3, the value of f (3) is undefined.

the area of a square poster is 30 in square. Find the length of one side of the poster to the nearest tenth of an inch
insens350 [35]

Answer:

x = 5.5 (nearest tenth)

Step-by-step explanation:

let x be the length of 1 side

given area of square poster is 30 in²

and

Area = (length of 1 side )²

hence

30 = x²

x = √30

x = 5.4772

x = 5.5 (nearest tenth)

After flooding damaged much of the crop, the cost of a head of lettuce jumped from $0.92 to $2.26. What percent of increase is t
mariarad [96]

Answer:

146%

Step-by-step explanation:

percent~change = \dfrac{new~price - old~price}{old~price} \times 100%

If the percent change is positive, it is a percent increase.

If the percent change is negative, it is a percent decrease.

Your numbers are

old price = $0.92

new price = $2.26

Plug in the numbers in the formula above and evaluate the expression.

percent change = ($2.26 - $0.92)/($0.92) * 100%

percent change = ($1.34)/($0.92) * 100%

percent change = 1.4565 * 100%

percent change = 146%

Since the percent change is a positive number, it is a percent increase.

Answer: The percent increase is 146%.

Answer: 5.5 which is choice B

Have a look at the diagram I posted below. I marked on your image to add in another angle. This angle is also 20 degrees because of congruent alternate interior angles (horizontal lines are parallel). This angle I add in is the reference angle of the triangle

opposite the reference angle is the vertical side x

adjacent to the reference angle is the horizontal side 15

We'll use the tangent rule. Make sure your calculator is in degree mode.

tan(angle) = opposite/adjacent

tan(20) = x/15

15*tan(20) = x <<-- multiply both sides by 15

x = 15*tan(20)

x = 5.45955 <<--- use calculator; this is approximate

x = 5.5 <<--- round to one decimal place
