Answer:

A. Both take root from the Buddha's teachings.

Explanation:

Buddha, also known as Siddharta Gautama, was a monk and sage from ancient India, and whose teachings were the basis of Buddhism. Buddhism is a religion and philosophy of life that says that life is suffering, that the root of suffering is the desire and that, in order to heal the suffering, it is necessary to stop desiring. Only then it will be possible to achieve a state of spiritual illumination.

Eventually, Buddhism split into two large branches: Theravada and Mahayana. Theravada sticks more to the initial phase of Buddhism and it is widespread throughout India, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. Mahayana developed many centuries later after the life of Buddha, it stresses the importance of spiritual teachers (Bodhisattva), and it is widespread throughout China, Korea, and Japan. In spite of these differences, both branches have a common root in Buddhas's teachings.

In what way did the marbury decision enhance checks and balances
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

The answer is explained below.

Explanation:

Marbury v. Madison was a supreme court case known for establishing the principle of Judicial review in US. Judicial review means that US courts can strike down statutes, laws and other government actions that violate the US constituion. This case is considered to be the one that laid the foundation of US constitutional law. The court's opinion was written by Chief Justice John Marshall.

As per the provision of separation of power the constitution framers wanted the government to have enough powers so that they could run the country but wouldn't be able to abuse it. Thus they developed the provision of separation of power, according to which the power is distributed among the three branches of the the government. So that if one branch of the government tries to abuse their powers others could balance it.

Marbury vs. Madison strengthened this provision as by judicial review the court can control the Congress by declaring laws unconstitutional and illegal.

If you lived in a totalitarian state, you could not ______. choose the job that you wanted go to the sort of religious service t
dimaraw [331]

Answer:

The correct answer is go to the sort of religius service that you wanted. Although, in totalitarian regimes such as the Nazi regime, some people were obliged to work in specific areas against their will. The reason for this is that the objective of a totalitarian regime is to unify the cultural, social, economical and political aspects of society and individuals. The other options (job, grow food, marriage) do not have to do with these aspects essentially.
