Answer:

Roosevelt's speech was criticized because it went against the American foreign policy tradition of isolationism. The public believed the speech called for American involvement in affairs it had nothing to do with.

Explanation:

President Franklin Roosevelt gave the Quarantine speech in 1937 during his second term as president of the United States. In a moment where many countries were practicing violent interventionist policies, like fascist Italy invading Ethiopia, and authoritarian Japan and nazi Germany publicly defending expansionist policies, he called for peaceful countries to isolate these countries in order to contain their policies.

What were the main features of the Aristotelian-Ptolemaic model of the cosmos
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

Aristotle's very own model of the Universe was an improvement of that of Eudoxus who had likewise examined under Plato. It had a progression of 53 concentric, crystalline, straightforward circles pivoting on various tomahawks. Every circle was focused on a stationary Earth so the model was both geocentric and homocentric.

Under the geocentric model, the Sun, Moon, stars, and planets all circled Earth. The geocentric model filled in as the transcendent portrayal of the universe in numerous antiquated civic establishments, for example, those of Aristotle and Ptolemy. Two perceptions upheld the possibility that Earth was the focal point of the Universe.

Who were the caudillos of Latin America?
jenyasd209 [6]

Caudillo is a term derived from the Spanish word Capitellum meaning Small Head ( head of an irregular ruled political territory). In the Latin American context, this term was used for the Military Leaders, who challenged the authority of the Spanish government. Therefore, these Caudillos or the strong man gave birth to a system called Caudillismo (a system of political-social domination under the leadership of a strong man). They rose after the Independence War from Spain in the 19th century in Latin America.
