The ratification of the constitution would have been difficult if the framers of the constitution would not have agreed bill of rights to it. The first ten constitutional amendments gave people more confidence in the new government. It contained many of the privileges and became a symbol of individual rights. The bill of rights ensures civil liberties and even the government could not threaten. American ideals of limited government and inalienable rights were secured through the inclusion of these rights.
